Adrien, an art scholar and biographer of the artist Ernst Bollinger, becomes entangled in the artist’s personal story and finds himself playing a central role in the final chapter of his life. Set against the evocative backdrop of a winter lagoon, the two men embark on a secular pilgrimage in search of a missing woman, discovering a shared connection through a common memory.
Hybrid Cinema explores the space between documentary and fiction, memory and imagination, dream and reality. Films that resist easy categorisation and conversations with those who make and engage with them, inviting us to reflect together on the forms and possibilities of contemporary cinema.
