Poetry slam night
Waag event in collaboration with SAAV / Waag -1
Since its debut in December 2022, WAAG Slam has become one of Bolzano’s most dynamic and engaging performance events. Created with passion by Lene Morgenstern and Roberto Tubaro, the poetry slam has filled the Waaghaus cellar eleven times—each one a sold-out evening of words and energy.
Now comes the twelfth edition, and it promises to be something special:
A new generation of slam poets is taking over the mic.
On stage: Michaela Grüner, Manuel Hilber, Filomena Hunglinger, Matthias, Silva Manzardo, Tina, Team Nora & Janina, and Ania Viero.
Live music will be provided by Laurenz Gallmetzer on accordion.
Admission is free, but there’s a twist: bring something unusual—an odd object or an unwanted gift. Think a roll of toilet paper or your old math homework. The winner of the night will take it all home.
Kicking off the evening is Featuring Poet “Geist der Frühlings”, current Tyrolean Champion 2025.
The event will be hosted and curated by Olivia Kaufmann and Helena Wierer, bringing charm, chaos, and poetry to the stage.
WAAG Slam is a project by SAAV and WAAG, and remains a vibrant celebration of poetry that lives, dances, and burns under the spotlight.
