The word of the month for March is “Local,” proposed by the CreativeMornings Chapter in Santos, Brazil.
During this morning session, three WS Waller will explore the role of public urban spaces as places for encounter, culture, and experimentation. Starting from the experiences of ViaDante Collective, they will discuss the value of reclaiming public spaces and the challenges faced by subcultures and self-organized initiatives within the urban context of Bolzano. They will also present an experimental tool, the “Generative Vibe Modulator,” an AI-based image processing software specifically developed to modify and reinterpret images from Google Street View. The conversation will also touch on concepts such as “Third Spaces,” informal spaces between home and work, and the idea of urban flâneurism as a cultural practice of exploring and observing the city.
Through these perspectives, we aim to look at Bolzano not only for what it is today, but also for what it could become.
For this reason, the event will conclude with a short participatory moment: a collective mapping of places in Bolzano that could be reinterpreted, activated, or transformed into spaces for encounter and cultural experimentation.
