The talk accompanying October’s CreativeMornings event fits into the theme ALTITUDE, proposed by the Toowoomba Chapter in Australia. Our guest is Philipp Schraut, artist, restorer and survival trainer, who will talk about his relationship with nature through the lens of this month’s theme, Altitude.
“When we reconnect with nature, we have an inexhaustible source of inspiration at our disposal. It puts us in touch with our own roots; it is the source of every being.”
Philipp Schraut
Fascinated since childhood by Stone Age life and technologies, he chose South Tyrol as his adopted home, where he combined his passion for the mountains with his studies in restoration and his research into ancient craft techniques. He has developed his skills through years of experimentation, also delving into survival techniques and the use of natural resources.
As a guide on hiking trips, he has explored unspoiled places in different parts of the world, coming into contact with communities and traditions that continue to inspire him. For years he has shared his knowledge through courses and seminars, convinced that learning and teaching are two sides of the same process.
Everyone is welcome. To take part, you need to register for the event on the CreativeMornings website.
